Precision Alloys – Consistent Chemistry, Reliable Performance

Babbitt Alloys
Our Babbitt alloys are carefully produced and tested to ensure consistent quality and performance. Each batch is analyzed for tin, antimony, lead, copper, iron, bismuth, zinc, aluminum, and cadmium—so you can be confident the material you’re using meets ASTM B-23 and SAE specifications.
Whether for bearing applications or specialized uses, we supply reliable, consistent alloys backed by in-house quality control. Tinning compounds, flux, and thinners are also available to support your full process from start to finish.
Pewter Alloys
We manufacture a wide selection of pewter alloys for artists, hobbyists, and large-scale producers alike. From detailed spin casting to traditional wooden mold work, our alloys are designed to deliver clean pours, consistent results, and dependable performance.
Whether you’re producing intricate pieces or running larger production volumes, we can supply the right pewter alloy to match your casting process and end-use requirements.

In-House Alloy Verification

Every heat is sampled and analyzed in our in-house laboratory to verify alloy chemistry before production.

Tin vs. Lead

What's The Difference?

Tin

  • Higher load-carrying capacity – better suited for demanding or high-speed applications
  • Superior fatigue resistance – holds up longer under continuous operation
  • Better corrosion resistance – performs well in marine or contaminated environments
  • Improved embeddability – can absorb small contaminants without damaging the shaft
Because of these properties, tin Babbitt is typically used in critical equipment where failure isn’t an option.

Lead

  • Lower cost – ideal for budget-sensitive applications
  • Good conformability – adapts well during installation and break-in
  • Suitable for lower speeds and lighter loads
  • However, it has lower fatigue strength and reduced corrosion resistance, making it less ideal for harsh or high-performance environments.
