What you should know

Find answers to common questions about our high-purity alloys, custom manufacturing process, and industry-leading sacrificial anodes. At Purity Casting Alloys, we believe in transparency and technical expertise, ensuring you have the information needed to protect your industrial investments for the long term.

What does Purity Casting Alloys specialize in?

We manufacture non-ferrous alloys and sacrificial anodes, including aluminum, zinc, tin, and lead-based products. Our focus is on consistent quality, custom manufacturing, and reliable supply.

All of our products are manufactured in Canada at our facility in British Columbia.

We specialize in custom manufacturing. Most of our products are made to order and can be tailored to your specific requirements, within the constraints of our molds and production capabilities.

We have an on-site analysis lab and test our alloys throughout production to ensure they meet required specifications and remain consistent from batch to batch.

A sacrificial anode protects metal structures from corrosion by corroding in place of the base metal. It “sacrifices” itself to extend the life of the structure it’s attached to.

Yes. We regularly ship across North America and internationally.

Should I use aluminum or zinc anodes?

It depends on the environment. Aluminum anodes typically offer higher efficiency and longer life, especially in saltwater, while zinc is often used in marine environments where specific conditions or standards require it. We can help you choose the right option for your application.

Yes. Our aluminum anodes meet MIL-A-24779 and our zinc anodes meet MIL-A-18001K specifications.

Yes. We regularly produce custom anodes with different sizes, shapes, and core materials including flat bar, pipe, threaded rod, eye bolts, and cable.

We manufacture aluminum, zinc, tin, and lead-based alloys, including Babbitt, pewter, ZA alloys, and low melting point alloys like CerroTru and Cerrobend.

Yes. Where applicable, our alloys are manufactured and tested to meet ASTM, SAE, and military specifications.

Coated weights offer added durability, corrosion resistance, and are easier to handle. Uncoated weights are a more economical option and are often preferred for bulk use.

Lead times vary depending on the product and order size, but because we manufacture in-house, we’re able to offer reliable and predictable turnaround times. Contact us for current timelines.
